My name is Reinhard Senoner, I live with my family in Selva Gardena, and I have been fascinated by the mountains since childhood. After attending art school, I actively started climbing. As a self-employed wood carver, I spent my summer days on the steep walls of the Dolomites during good weather.
Skiing is also one of my great passions, and I have spent a lot of time skiing on powder snow and descending steep couloirs. In my mid-twenties, I completed my training as a mountain and ski guide, and for over 35 years, I have worked in this profession. I am captivated by all disciplines of mountaineering and eagerly await each new season with its unique characteristics and challenges.
The great classic climbs also tell a story. Exploring the achievements of pioneers while guiding customers through these routes adds depth to the mountain experience. As Anderl Heckmair said, “What counts is the adventure.”
For over 25 years, I have been running the Gardenaguides mountaineering school. Additionally, I am a mountain rescue team member and head of the Selva Gardena Avalanche Commission.

Hermann Comploj has been a mountain guide since 1983 and is a founding member of the Val Gardena Alpine Guides Association “Gardena Guides.” He inherited his passion for the mountains from his grandfather, Battista Mussner de Paulin, a mountain guide from 1920 to 1950. A ski instructor since 1976, Hermann was part of the Italian national downhill ski team until the late 1970s. His passion for skiing has led him to practice extreme skiing, including several first descents on Sassolungo, Sassopiatto, Sella, and Puez groups. For Hermann, being a mountain guide and ski instructor is a lifelong project aimed at sharing unforgettable experiences with clients.

I grew up in Selva Val Gardena, on Plan Street, under the shadow of the Sella Massif. From a young age, I inherited my passion for the mountains from my parents.
At the age of 18, I tackled my first alpine route: the historic north face of Sassolungo via the Pichl route.
Since then, I’ve spent years exploring the Dolomites, climbing walls like the south face of Marmolada, Civetta, Tofane, and the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
In the Western Alps, I’ve completed various mixed routes (ice, snow, and rock), conquering challenges such as the north face of the Eiger, Mont Blanc, and the Matterhorn.
Ski mountaineering and ice climbing are also among my specialties.
Since 2016, I have been a Mountain Guide, but above all, a passionate mountaineer.

Inspired by the stories of my maternal grandfather, I discovered my passion for the mountains as a teenager. Over the course of more than three decades, I have completed over 200 first ascents on the walls of the Dolomites.
Working as an alpine guide allowed me to combine my greatest passion with my profession. My deep interest in the history of mountaineering and the intricate relationship between humans and the mountains has led me to publish several guides on climbing and ski touring.

I live in Val Gardena, where the mountains are an integral part of my life. From a young age, I developed a deep passion for nature, which led me to become an alpine guide and ski instructor. I am married and have two daughters, and I strive to balance my mountain adventures with family life.
My love for climbing is particularly strong; for me, scaling a wall is not just a physical challenge, but also a way to connect deeply with nature and discover my limits. I have participated in and won several freeride competitions, tackling each challenge with determination. I also worked as a rescue helicopter operator in the Himalayas, where I learned to manage critical situations with professionalism and calm.
In 2017, I had the opportunity to set a record in speedriding, reaching a speed of 152.9 km/h. This experience represented not only a personal achievement but also a testament to my passion for mountain sports and my desire to push my limits.
Today, I share my love for the mountains with others, helping both beginners and experienced adventurers discover the wonders of the Alps. I believe that every outing can hold new discoveries and lessons, and that true adventure begins when we explore new horizons—both in the mountains and in everyday life.

My name is Pius Senoner, and I have been a mountain guide since 1998. For the past four years, I have been part of the "Gardena Guides" alpine guide association. In my youth, I was a cross-country skier for many years. To train, I would run into the mountains almost every day, learning to love and especially respect them, as mountains must be approached with caution and without recklessness. This is what I have tried to teach my students over many years, having worked for a long time as a ski and climbing instructor at the Alpine Training Center of the Carabinieri. My passion for the mountains also led me to become a ski instructor and a member of the mountain rescue team. Today, I am proud to be part of this wonderful group and to share my experience and passion for the mountains with you.

My name is Mara Silla, and I was born in Trieste, a city that holds a special place in my heart. Growing up between the Karst and the Carnic Dolomites, I had the privilege of living immersed in nature, a love my parents instilled in me from a young age.
I participated in and won several freeride snowboarding competitions, experiences that fueled my desire to turn this passion into a career. After earning my diploma as a snowboard and ski instructor, I moved to Val Gardena, where I was warmly welcomed.
I then decided to deepen my skills and studied to become a mountain guide, fulfilling one of my greatest dreams. I am grateful for the opportunity to accompany people who share my passion for the mountains, regardless of their skill level. My goal is to provide unforgettable experiences and unique adventures to those I guide.
In my private life, I am married to Armin, who is also a mountain guide. Together, we have two daughters who already show a great love for nature and sports. In my free time, I enthusiastically participate in ski mountaineering and mountain running competitions. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow and discover new horizons.
